The above is a video of some of the custom fabric printing work we produced for the Broadway show Bye Bye Birdie. The colors that come out of the printer will be true, vibrant and machine washable once they are heat set. The finished fabric is 52 inches wide and 36 inches long and is printed on a polyester moleskin fabric. The printed fabric in the video was quilted with gold satin fabric sewn on to the boarders of the image.
When the set designers of the Broadway Revival of Bye Bye Birdie had a last minute project of having to have some of their Broadway set images digitally printed on fabric they turned to Craig's Prints for help. The designers required that the image be color accurate, durable and washable for the many uses it would have to endure as the fabric was going to be used on a daily basis as part of the show. The set designers set up an appointment at our New York office and took samples on many of the fabrics that we offer to print on.
From there they chose the fabric and and we worked with their artists to get the colors just right. We had one day to get it right because rehearsals were starting later in the week.
When the job was finished the designers were quite pleased. If you would like to see the finished work up close you are just going to have to buy tickets to see the show.
